What is a collaborative board?
These are also sometimes called Group Boards and were originally set up so that you could invite your mum and bridesmaids to jointly contribute to a wedding planning board (or something similarly naff like that).
However they can also be used to grow the audience that sees and interacts with your own Pinterest published content. You can publish your content to the Board of a pinner that has more followers than you do individually and get your content out there into the world and being useful as it was always intended to be.
And besides when fitting all this content creation into a life, mum-ness, running a business or holding down a ‘proper’ job its a heck of a lot easier to jointly build something than to go it alone.
How to contribute content to the sheBuilds collaborative pinterest board.
Follow these steps to become a contributor to the sheBuilds collaborative pinterest board.
- go to my sheBuilds profile as pinner and follow me, this means you also get the great pleasure of following all my boards 😉
- go to the sheBuilds collaborative board
- find the collaboration pin and make a comment in the bottom of it
- I will then go to your profile and if you don’t appear to be a raving loony or completely off topic I’ll invite you to be a pinner
Why contribute content to the collaborative sheBuilds board?
Current Pinterest content is heavily dominated by US writers and contributors. I am keen to balance out that content and help Australian women find useful content in metric (not imperial measurement).
Putting great Australian content and Pinners in one spot helps them to be more easily found on Pinterest.
There is also some discussion of potential paid promotion within Pinterest and it will be useful to have a strong central base from which to collaboratively market content into the pinosphere.
Are there any rules or guidelines?
Only common sense, stay on topic and be helpful or inspiring. Please message me if you see anything in appropriate or odd or if you have suggestions to improve and promote the Board.
Happy pinning people!
